Occusept product is ophtalmologicum, the eye drops. It is la ow viscosity, isotonic liquid with the extract of Euphrasia officinalis and LipoZoom lipid component. The product is used for tears substitution in disordered secretion of tears, a creation of a protective film in case of unfavorable conditions, acute and/or chronic conjunctivitises, itchy eyes, tired ones after long-term visual stress and for eyes wash.

The eye drops do not contain the cystoscopic preservatives (BAC). The preservative effect is ensured by the combination of Zinc sulfate and Acidum boricum.

The liquid also contains LipoZoom lipid component – a fraction of pure soya lecithin (phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine). Such substances are naturally contained in tears and improve the eye protection (prolonging the time of intact protective film because of creation of a lipid layer avoiding evaporation and destroy of continuous layer of tear film), which significantly increases a patient comfort in case of tear creation disorder.

Phosphatidylcholine is phospholipid; it is a main component of lipid membrane in organisms. A source of phosphatidylcholine is particularly the soya and together with lecithin they are further isolated and purified by means of chromatographic techniques.

The herb extracts are described in details in the paragraph devoted to herb extract effect.
