Mullein flowers contain therapeutically active saponins, slime, tannins, flavonoid glycosides, and other substances. Within traditional use, the drug is used for refining and reconditioning the skin purposes.
Marigold flowers also contain saponins, carotenoids, essential oils, bitter substances, salicylic acid, Vitamin C, and other substances. In human medicine, a topic application on the skin during minor inflammation / irritates skin is common.
Lavender flowers contain 1-3 % essential oils, which are the main active substances of the drug. The essential oil contains the following: esters (approx. 35 %), the main substance is linalyl acetate (30-50 %), linalol (10-15 %), and other substances. When used externally, the drug has analgesic effects and is used as an aromaticum.
